Analog / Mixed-Signal VLSI Designer – IR Image Sensors

Job Description

Semi Conductor Devices (SCD), a leading worldwide supplier of high-end Infrared Detectors and thermal imaging cores, is looking for an Analog / Mixed-Signal VLSI Designer to join its VLSI R&D group.

The role involves design and validation of custom analog and mixed-signal ASICs (ROICs) for advanced IR imaging systems, working closely with experienced analog, digital, system, and hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify Analog and Mixed-Signal circuit blocks for IR image sensors (ROICs) under the guidance of senior designers
• Participate in the full ASIC development flow:
  specification review → circuit design → verification → integration → silicon bring-up → lab validation
• Contribute to block-level simulations, documentation, and design reviews
• Work closely with digital designers, layout engineers, electronics, and system teams to support chip integration
• Support post-silicon validation and lab measurements, including debug and correlation to simulations
• Gain exposure to advanced CMOS processes, image sensor architectures, and system-driven design constraints

Basic requirements

• BSc / MSc in Electrical Engineering
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in analog or mixed-signal VLSI design (industry or advanced academic work)
• Basic understanding of analog design fundamentals: gain, bandwidth, noise, stability, matching, PVT effects
• Experience reading and working from specification documents
• Familiarity with analog simulation and schematic tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso / ADE / Spectre)
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment
• Good written and spoken English

Advantages

• Experience with image sensors, ROICs, or custom mixed-signal ASICs
• Design experience with one or more of the following:
  • Analog front-ends, amplifiers, bias circuits

• • ADCs or data converters

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team defining future Image Sensor Digital controller Architecture
• Participate in the digital design and verification effort of state-of-the-art IR Image Sensors, working closely with the Analog designers and Board designers (internal and external interfaces)
• Take part in ASIC development lifecycle (pre- and post-silicon) – from Spec definition to block-level design, full-Chip till Silicon Validation in the laboratory and customer support
• Lead the design and integration of complex digital blocks from specification to silicon
• Drive VLSI innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the design organization

Job Requirements

• Sc. in either Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from a recognized institution
• 5+ years of experience in Digital VLSI design from micro-architecture through RTL implementation and verification
• Experience with Digital design tools and environment
• Experience in defining and reading Specification documents

התפקיד כולל אחריות על אנליזות, ניסויי פיתוח, קוואליפיקציה, תשתיות מעבדה, שימור ידע מקצועי, ותיאום מקצועי עם כלל ראשי הצוותים במכאניקה, איתור והכשרת קבלני משנה וגורמי הפיתוח, ממשק שוטף עם התפעול והאיכות.

גורם מאשר לסקרי תכן בתחום המכאניקה, שותף לבקרות פרוייקטי פיתוח.

דיווח לראש תחום מומחיות מקצועית באגף המו”פ.

תמיכה בלקוחות פנימיים מיחידות עסקיות, אגף התפעול ואגף האיכות.

דרישות סף

• תואר ראשון בהנדסת מכונות. יתרון בתואר נוסף.
• ניסיון משמעותי של לפחות חמש שנים בפיתוח מכאני של מערכות מולטידיסיפלינאריות.
• ניסיון של לפחות 3 שנים בניהול מקצועי ישיר ומטריציוני.
• אנגלית טכנית ברמה גבוהה מאוד.
• יכולת הובלה, סדר, מתודולוגיות ויחסי אנוש מצוינים.

Reports To: PMO Manager

Position Purpose

The PMO Specialist supports the Project Management Office (PMO) in establishing and operating project portfolio management processes across the R&D organization and provides visibility to company Top Management. The role is responsible for portfolio reporting, project planning support, resource planning, budget monitoring, data analysis, governance, and continuous improvement of project management practices.

The PMO Analyst works closely with Project Managers, Area Managers, Finance, Quality, Operations, Planning, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to improve portfolio transparency and support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor the R&D project portfolio.
Support project planning, scheduling and Gantt development.
Monitor milestones, risks, KPIs and portfolio health.
Support preparation, planning, monitoring and follow-up of project and departmental budgets.
Prepare executive dashboards, KPI reports and management presentations.
Analyze large volumes of project, resource, schedule and financial data.
Support resource capacity planning and workload analysis.
Maintain PMO standards, templates and governance.
Support implementation of the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system.
Support Project Manager training and PMO continuous improvement.
Professional Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in PMO, Project Management, Project Planning or Engineering Operations.
Experience in R&D, engineering, technology or manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects.
Experience with budget preparation, planning, monitoring and follow-up.
Experience analyzing large datasets and preparing management reports.
Technical Skills

Experience with PPM systems – Microsoft Project, Monday, Project Advantage, etc…
Advanced Microsoft Excel.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik or Tableau (advantage).
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
