We are seeking a skilled Board Designer with extensive experience in high-speed digital design to join our Board Design R&D Team.
In this role, you will define system and hardware requirements, design FPGA-based hardware platforms, and validate high-speed interfaces such as DDR4, USB3, Ethernet, MIPI, and Camera Link. You will work closely with firmware, software, and mechanical engineers to deliver robust, production-ready embedded systems for advanced electro-optical products.
Define hardware requirements and prepare detailed design documentation for FPGA-based boards, including power architecture, configuration, and peripheral circuitry.
Develop schematics and oversee PCB layout for complex, high-speed multilayer boards.
Perform hardware simulations and signal analysis using tools such as LTspice and Cadence.
Design and validate high-speed interfaces including DDR4, USB3, Ethernet, MIPI, and Camera Link.
Define and manage PCB stack-ups, impedance control, differential pair routing, and high-speed layout constraints.
Conduct Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis to ensure performance, robustness, and reliability.
Lead prototype bring-up, testing, and debugging using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, VNAs).
Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure full system integration.
Participate in design reviews, DFM/DFT processes, and continuous design improvements.
Support production and NPI activities, and resolve hardware-related manufacturing issues.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related field).
7+ years of hands-on experience in PCB and FPGA-based board design.
Strong proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (OrCAD, Cadence Allegro).
Deep understanding of high-speed digital design principles (impedance control, timing constraints, crosstalk mitigation).
Solid knowledge of power supply design, sequencing, and decoupling strategies.
Practical experience with hardware validation and SI/PI simulation tools.
Proven experience working closely with PCB layout engineers, with strong understanding of layout rules and design trade-offs.
Proficiency in lab test and measurement equipment for debugging and validation.
Experience with VHDL development.
Familiarity with ASIC development processes.
The position requires eligibility for obtaining Israeli security clearance.

The Physics and Electro-Optics Group is looking for a Senior Physics Engineer reporting to Detector Physics team Leader in the physics Department
Role and Responsibilities:
The Physicist will be part of a team dedicated to IR-detector development in the physics group. He will participate to the conception and development of detectors and accompany its development through the different stages of the projects from conception to inception at customer’s. The physicist will also support the production line and should provide insights from physics perspective to the different functions of the company during the project development: Process teams, material growth, VLSI, Electronics, Mechanics, Marketing. The physicist should will have a system view of the detector with capability to understand the underlying physics process at material level, VLSI, and system level.
The position includes important part of experimental work in laboratory environment, simulations development, data analysis and regular reports to management and project development team.
The lead physicist should demonstrate important autonomy and leadership capabilities.

The Physics and Electro-Optics Group at SCD is looking for a Research Physicist reporting to Director of Physics and Electro-Optics.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Research Physicist will be part of the Physics R&D Group, working with a team of scientists on a variety of projects in Infrared Detector and Laser Diode technologies. The remit will include the development of modelling, in particular, of IR detectors at pixel level with semiconductor and optical simulations. The successful candidate is also expected to provide theoretical expertise and guidance to members of the Physics R&D Group.
