    The Robin detector, SCD’s advanced 12μm VOx microbolometer, serves as the core of the Robin family, delivering exceptional image quality, remarkably low Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD), very low thermal time constant (Tau), rapid image acquisition, and minimal weight, making it one of the leading LWIR detectors on the market. Its VGA format supports demanding applications requiring high frame rates, ruggedness, boresight accuracy, and full design flexibility, while features such as dual video streams and unique region-of-interest adjustment enable precise calibration and versatile system integration. Based on this detector, the Micro Robin video engine or open frame camera offers an optimal integration solution for VGA LWIR systems. It provides NUC and BPR-corrected video optimized for computer vision. The system is specifically designed to meet low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) constraints and highly dynamic operational needs. Mission-fitted lens options enable quick deployment and simplified implementation, making this product particularly suitable for high-volume applications. Complementing to the Robin and Micro Robin, the Core Robin OEM open frame camera delivers a fully integrated and calibrated VGA LWIR solution, combining uncompromising performance with high mission flexibility, supporting both shutter and shutterless operation, multiple video formats, and dual-stream output for advanced vision and analytics tasks. Its ruggedized design and optional mission-ready lens configuration ensure rapid integration and reliable performance across a wide range of applications, including defense and mission-critical environments.
